Band & Color Guard Students Perform at Disneyland, Rams Game, Rose Parade, & MLK Parade

19 Kennedy Band and Color Guard students were selected to perform in the 46th LAUSD All-City Honor Band. Kennedy had the 3rd largest number of students of all LAUSD High Schools. During Winter Break these students practiced to perform at: Disneyland, Bandfest, Los Angeles Rams Halftime Show, the Roses Parade, and the MLK Day Parade. This is the 11th year our Band Director, Mr. Ibarra, served as the Assistant Band Director for the LAUSD All-City Honor Band.

Spring Semester Tutoring Schedule

Academic tutoring will start Monday Jan. 15. The ARC Tutoring Center will be opened in the morning at 6:45 AM - 7:45 AM and after school from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM. Content specific tutorial services including the Computer Lab in room A213 will be from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM on the designated day. Contact the Title One Office for more information.

BAND AND COLOR GUARD WIN CITY CHAMPIONSHIP FOR A 3RD TIME IN A ROW!

On Saturday, December 2rd, the Band and Color Guard won 1st Place at the LAUSD Division 1A Band and Drill Team Championships at East LA College. This is the THIRD time in a row Band and Color Guard have won a city championship under the leadership of our Band Director, Mr. Ibarra. Congratulations Band and Color Guard team! Advanced Architecture Class Presents Competing Plans to Modernize Kennedy's Main Entrance

Kennedy SkillsUSA Design students presented 5 unique design proposals to the LAUSD Facilities Services Division to modernize Kennedy’s Main Entrance. Components from each teams design will be incorporated into the final design concept. The ideas include: trees planted along the sidewalk; a large, terrazzo Kennedy Cougar logo inset into the concrete; a raised seating area; a sail-shaped shade devices; and a tile wall showcasing Kennedy’s unique programs.

Preschool Enrollment Now Open for Kennedy's Cubs: Open to Children 2½-5 Years Old

Kennedy High School’s Careers With Children class provides a campus preschool. The children are under the supervision of one adult and twenty or more high school students who are enrolled in the Careers With Children class.
When: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Hours: 10:30am– 12:10 pm.
Who: Children ages 2½-5 years old (must be potty trained)
Fees: $20 registration and monthly tuition $20
