Advanced Placement Application (AP)
Honors and Advanced Placement Courses are designed to be academically challenging and stimulating. They require more effort outside the classroom than regular courses, give greater opportunity for individual progress and present subject material in greater depth.

Student in AP classes are given the opportunity to take the AP test in May. Students who pass the college board (go to the official collegeboard site at www.apcentral.collegeboard.com) AP exam with a three (3) or higher willget college units or advanced standing at their college when they enrolled.

The following are AP classes at Kennedy High School:
  • AP American History (11th grade)
  • AP Art History (10th, 11th, or 12th grade)
  • AP Biology (10th, 11th, or 12th grade)
  • AP Calculus (11th or 12th grade)
  • AP Chemistry (11th or 12th grade)
  • AP English Language (11th grade)
  • AP English Literature (12th grade)
  • AP Physics B (11th and 12th grade)
  • AP Spanish Language (10th, 11th, 12th grade)
  • AP Spanish Literature (11th or 12th grade)
  • AP Statistics (11th or 12th grade)
  • AP US Government and Economics (12th grade)
  • AP World History (10th, 11th, or 12th grade)
  • AP European History (12th grade
