Freshman Transition Program
(Smaller Learning Communities Program)The Freshman Transition Program at Kennedy High School is designed to begin building a smaller �community� atmosphere within our larger school. This program is part of a federally funded grant that seeks to reform the existing high school structure. Some of the programs at Kennedy funded by the FTP include:
- Link Crew-student mentors
- the 9th Grade Tutoring Center
- curriculum for the Life Skills classes
- the Peace Academy to name a few
- teacher support and staff development
