Principal Vazquez's Welcome

Meet Our Principal

Dear John F. Kennedy High School Community,

It is my honor to serve as the proud principal of John F. Kennedy High School and to be a part of this wonderful community where students, teachers, and parents care for each other and support the academic and social-emotional growth of all students.

My 21 years in education have framed my vision of creating and sustaining a learning environment in which all students will become leaders and life-long learners in order to reach their greatest potential. I wholeheartedly believe that all students can learn at high levels, and it is my goal to ensure that our students receive a quality education in an environment that is safe and supportive. I encourage all parents to become active members of the school community. With your support, our staff and students can have a high school experience that is both memorable and academically rigorous.

Feel free to contact me at (818) 271-2900 or at oxv1741@lausd.net with any questions you may have.

Oscar Vazquez, Principal, John F. Kennedy High School

SCHOOLWIDE LEARNER OUTCOMES

COMPREHENSIVE MODERNIZATION

John F. Kennedy High School is in the early stages of a comprehensive modernization project.

This multi-million dollar investment in Kennedy's infrastructure will consist of seismic retrofitting of existing buildings, construction of new two-story, state-of-art-science classroom building, and modernization of existing performing arts, library, and cafeteria spaces.
Construction is projected to be completed by 2028.
