Architectural Design Program "Arboretum Design Project"
For the fifth year in a row, our Architectural Design program will be collaborating with the American Institute-Architects, San Fernando Valley Chapter (AIASFV) on a project that will give our SkillsUSA capstone students a final challenge before they graduate. The project will be to design a series of building concepts that will each serve a specific purpose on the 127-acre Los Angeles Arboretum & Botanical Garden site. The project will run between April 11 and May 26.

The current AIASFV Vice-President, Jen Dunbar, owner of Jen Dunbar Architects, has been an active collaborator with our architecture program for the past few years. She has taken over advisory duties for retired architect and long-time advisory board member, Larry Kaltman. Ms. Dunbar has infused new life and excitement into our advisory partnership. Her company's current project is the restoration of the Arboretum's mid-century modern Visitors Plaza.
Please join our students at the kickoff event which will take place at the Los Angeles Arboretum on April 11, 2023.
