Kennedy's Parent Center Gets a Makeover Courtesy of the Board of Education

The LAUSD Board of Education allocated $20million to improve Parent Centers districtwide. Our Parent Center was repainted, upgraded with a portable multi-media system, a laptop, and twenty Chromebooks, children’s books/novels and new furniture will be arriving shortly to complete the renovation. The Parent, Community and Student Services (PCSS) also provided trainings to all Parent Center Directors on strategies to increase parent engagement.

Roaring 20's Prom Tickets Go on Sale After Spring Break During Lunch: CASH ONLY

Tickets will be on sale between Building A and the Library. You must be eligible, have your ID, and permission slip ready in order to purchase your ticket. If your prom ticket was included in your senior package, you must still turn in your permission slip. Permission Slips are available at the sales table, in SP09, and on NO REFUNDS.
Sale prices are as follows:
• April 3-6 tickets are $135
• April 9-13 tickets are $145
• April 16-20 tickets are $160

Teaching Academy (TCA) Selected as 2018 Distinguished California Partnership Academy (CPA)

The TCA will be recognized as a Distinguished CPA at the Educating for Careers Conference on March 5. CPA’s exemplify the career academy model for preparing high school students to succeed in both college and careers. Each year TCA students take classes together with at least one teaching career course. TCA teachers works with this group of students over several years and link the instructional program across disciplines to incorporate a career in teaching.
