How can I stay updated with DBHS HOSA events throughout the year?

You can stay in the loop by:

  • Checking this website frequently (especially the "Calendar" tab), as it will be constantly updated

  • Joining our Facebook group here

  • Texting @dbhsh to 81010

  • And joining our email list by sending your full name, grade, and email to dbarhosa@gmail.com

You can do all the above, of course. Because why not?

I am a current DBHS student or I am an incoming DBHS freshman. How can I sign up?

You can sign up for HOSA by finding our table during Club Rush/Club Promotion Week out in the Upper Quad. You can also sign up anytime during the year by contacting dbarhosa@gmail.com.

What is all the fundraising for?

In order to ensure that all motivated and talented members can participate in all HOSA events, we need to raise funds using all of our members' collective efforts. We strive to fundraise together so everyone dedicatated to HOSA and health care can be a part of this excellent organization.

How do I pick a competitive event to study for and participate in?

You may refer to our "Competitive Events" tab to locate all possible events. Go through the lists and see which event(s) suit you the most. Remember, every member is different. If you still have trouble deciding, feel free to speak to an officer or contact us at dbarhosa@gmail.com.

How many competitive events do HOSA members normally participate in at SLC (State Leadership Conference)?

Members typically compete in around 2 events, and usually no more than 3. The rule is quality over quantity.
