Welcome to Kennedy Gifted/Highly Gifted/High Achieving Medical Magnet Program

Program Description/Criteria:  Gifted/Highly Gifted/High Achieving Magnets (G/HG/HA)
Program Qualification Standards
Kennedy Gifted/Highly Gifted/High Achieving Medical Magnet:  The Gifted Medical Magnet program at Kennedy HS is designated as a Gifted/Highly Gifted/High Ability Magnet (G/HG/HA).  Our Magnet program serves students who demonstrate the ability to work two years above grade level in academic subjects.
Students who apply for the program must either be identified gifted through LAUSD or meet the criteria for high achievement. If your child is not identified gifted, you can still apply to the magnet and it will be the attending school's responsibility to verify your child as high achieving. Those names will be sent by the Office of Student Integration to the middle school or high school of attendance in January for verification. If your child is verified, they will be considered for either selection or wait list status. If they are not verified, the application is then declined.
