 View the Solar Eclipse Safely. Get up close and personal with the solar eclipse using safe solar eclipse viewing glasses provided by the school. Witness this celestial marvel in all its glory!

Create and Take Home STEAM Activities. Dive into the world of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics with exciting hands-on activities related to solar eclipses and exoplanets. Spark your curiosity and creativity!

Imagine Your Exoplanet

Decide what kind of imaginary exoplanet to feature in your poster. Is it a place where creatures fly with wings made of light? Is it a world of floating islands? Is it a planet with colorful oceans? There are endless possibilities!

Create Your Exoplanet

Create a poster of the planet and what makes it special and interesting. You can draw the planet in space or you can draw the surface of the planet. Use shapes and colors to make your design interesting and help others imagine your exoplanet.

ELEMENTARY (K-5) GUIDELINES

  • Create a drawing of your planet that shows what makes it unique.

Use crayons, markers, or colored pencils.

  • Describe what your planet looks like, what lives on it, and how it is different from Earth.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (6-8) GUIDELINES

  • Create an image of your planet that shows what makes it unique.

Use crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint, or digital art.

  • Describe your planet’s ecosystem, its inhabitants, and its unique features.

SIZE OF ARTWORK

Entries must be one of the following sizes:

  • 8.5" x 11"
  • 11" x 17"

HOW TO ENTER

Complete the online submission form to answer questions about your planet and to upload a digital copy of your poster.

  • DESIGN: Uses color and space well
  • IMAGINATION: Shows creativity & originality
  • INFORMATION: Includes specific, interesting details
